Healthcare Professional's Education in Personalised Medicine

Personalised Medicine (PM) introduced a new mode of thinking with major impacts on care, clinical practices and ethics. Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) need to understand new and sophisticated technologies and how to implement them in their daily work.

As we begin to understand the power of PM to transform clinical decision making and management, it is time to lift our horizons to where PM can take the next generation of HCPs.

EPEMED and EuroBioForum joined forces in the Education and Training front to launch “the 1000 Young Doctors Personalised Medicine Training Scheme”. EPEMED and its Education Committee unfolded the first step of this larger initiative with a three-part webinar series  addressing gaps and needs with a panel of distinguished speakers. The program will be followed by a dedicated workshop in conjunction with EuroBioForum's 3rd annual conference in Tallin, 22-23 September, and by a Convergence Meeting in Dublin, Ireland, 21-22 October 2014, set in collaboration with EPEMED, key agency partners from Ireland and Diaceutics.
